Renee Zellweger, is normally a size 8, super-thin Hollywood actress.
But she plays Bridget in “Bridget Jones's Diary (2001)” who is a size 14.
“Bridget Jones's Diary”is one of the best romantic comedies of recent years.
After playing she became famous and popular among young women.

Renee Zellweger was born on April 25, 1969,in Katy, Texas, a small town outside Huston.
The daughter of European parents (her father is Swiss and her mother is Norwegian).
She has an older brother that she greatly admired. When she became more famous,
she was encouraged to change her name to one that would be more marketable,
but she refused to do so because she and brother were the first Zellweger born in the U.S.A.

After graduating from Katy high school in 1987, where Renee was a cheerleader, gymnast
and belonged to the drama club. She went to the University of Texas at Austin,
where she majored in English. An excellent student (She made Dean’s List several times),
Renee took a drama class because she needed a fine arts credit to get her degree.
Her participation in drama reminded her of how much she loved acting, so she intended to be an actress.

Renee’s role in “Dazed and confused (1993)” as a high school senior was her first film role.
And then her roles were usually bit-parts, but she had been waiting for a big chance.
At last, her dream came true. She landed the title role in “Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001)” .
She had to gain weight because she played a fat heroine who succeeds in getting to win the boyfriend of her dreams.
Her 6Kg made big news among young women. She was a success as an actress.
In addition she could soon lose the weight that she gained for the role.
It was an amazing success. This news was the biggest news among young women,
and they could see Renee slimmed back down for the movies “Chicago (2002)”.
She even won a prize for her acting in “Chicago” and became even more famous.
How did she lose weight? We don't know the details, but everyone wants to know how.

Renee Zellweger is now beginning a weight-gain diet to play Bridget again.
She is reportedly being paid a $3.2 million bonus to put on weight for her role as Bridget.
Her daily diet is 4780 calories. It is almost double the daily intake for an active man!
She will gain about 13kg.

“Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason” begins in November 2004.
